Most people act according to some kind of moral code of their own, but few go to the extremes of bushido, the samurai code of ethics that guides their attitudes, behavior, and lifestyle. One of Richard Mille's friends and collaborators was two-time Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso, an avid lover of traditional Japanese arts and samurai. It was during conversations with founder Richard Mille that Alonso's dedication and understanding of the Samurai philosophy inspired the watchmaker to envision a completely new project that would align with the world of haute horlogerie and craftsmanship. A team of craftsmen worked together and took nearly four years to achieve.
